September 14 2017 - Here we are again, finding time to post a few more pictures of our trip to Newfoundland. The idea behind doing so is that it forces me to go through my large number of images to try to select some that I like. It also adds a little to the notes made during the trip, which were posted on site during our explorations of Newfoundland. Finally, it completes the journal, for our future enjoyment (if we ever take the time to go over it again...perhaps in our dotage).
The photos that follow are of our favorite Newfoundland bird, the puffin. We love these little guys for their energy, their amazing flying ability, and their durability. This group of puffins were found at Elliston, and although the numbers were much smaller than when we were here before, they were still fascinating to watch.
The last two pictures are of Gail looking out from a root cellar entrance, Elliston being the Root Cellar Capital of the world, and of a lovely bay just down from our r.v. park near Elliston.
